yggdrasilly:
So amidst all the Steam holiday sales, today they’ve got Bastion on for only five bucks! If you don’t have it already, now’s your chance!
Alternatively…
Also I’ve an extra copy to give away to a lucky user. There’s 19 hours left on the sale, so I’ll close this down after about 16 hours so that I can make the necessary arrangements before the sale is up.
Here’s how it goes!

I’ve been in the gifted program since grade 4, in 2004. Some have left, and some have joined us, but basically we’ve been with each other ever since then.
2013, the year we all graduate, is also the year we begin having known each other for the majority of our lives.
And I think that’s pretty cool.

He promised a thesis and provided an antithesis.
Ask not what your chiasmus can do for you. Ask what you can do for your chiasmus.
The room was as elaborate and surprising as this conceit.
This sentence contains a complement.
Anaphora is repetitive. Anaphora is poetic. Anaphora is great.
Life on a Cubic Planet →
science:
Planets are not cube-shaped. There’s no physical mechanism that would allow a cubic planet to form naturally, certainly not one the size of Earth, and even if you somehow built one, gravity would eventually turn it into a sphere. This is nothing more than a light-hearted thought experiment. But assuming you had a cube-shaped Earth, what would it be like?

A class can be good without a great teacher – the subject could be inherently fun and the classmates can be good company. However, what turns a good class into a great class is the teacher.
You know those teachers that enjoy making fun of students to be cool? Those teachers are selfish, in a way, because they’ll be too busy being cool to show students how much they love to teach.

“How about I vacuum the floor while you watch TV, mom?” the teenage son asked, unaware that his plan for showing his mom how he couldn’t hear the TV over the vacuum came off as being incredibly sweet.

I beat Human Revolution.
It was simply brilliant.
I spent all day watching the Phineas and Ferb marathon and then the premiere of the movie.
That was fucking awesome.

My dad was driving me somewhere, when he stopped suddenly in the middle of the street, jerking us forward. Before I had time to process this, he yelled, “Do you wanna die?!” It scared the shit out of me.
He was talking to a squirrel on the road.
So, why do vultures have no feathers on their...
Think about this way: If you had to stick your head inside a fresh, bloody carcass, with the intention of cleaning yourself up afterwards, would you rather be Hagrid or Voldemort?

This is an Ars Technica article that beautifully summarizes the main problem of how internet providers implement usage-based billing in Canada. (I love Ars Technica by the way; it’s the best tech news site)
I tried watching the CRTC hearings today, but it was very slow-paced, and I liken Konrad von Finckenstein to a very quiet snail. However, it appears the CRTC is finally taking a stand...

I have too many spam followers.
It doesn’t really make a difference to me, but the fact that they keep popping up means that somewhere out there, they’re working.

I’m becoming less and less sure that my post on “Facebook Game Theory” has anything to do with game theory at all.
Oh well.
Well, it's summer.
To all teachers, not just from this semester, whose classes I’ve worked hard in because I didn’t want to disappoint you, thank you for all your amazing work.
More teachers should be like you.
Facebook Game Theory
I’ll start off by saying I don’t have many Facebook friends. Before adding anyone on Facebook, I ask myself, “Would my news feed benefit in quality if I added this person?” Quality, in this case, means how well I know the person (making their posts more relevant to me) and conversely, how annoying this person is (LETS PRETEND THEM PLANES ARE SHOOTIN STARS would be a...
